Jimi Richard Wanjigi is not an ordinary man, there is great mystery that lies behind this business oligarch. Born 1^st September 1962 to Maina Wanjigi and Mary Wambui, has risen to popularity in the recent years but there is so much people do not know about him. Is he just a business man or a politician too? This is a question that lingers in many people’s heads.

Yes, he is a business man and a politician too. It seems like business and politics runs in the family considering the fact that his late father was a great business man and politician who served as an MP and minister after Kenya got independence in the year 1963.

Believe it or not, the husband to Irene Nzisa, and father to Maina and Wambui, has played a significant role in Kenya's economic landscape and as a king maker in Daniel arap Moi, Mwai Kibaki, and Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.

There is nothing in the world Wanjigi values more than family. It is public knowledge that he is a responsible family man. A clear indication of his loyalty to his family was evident when he was recently arrested on claims that he was sponsoring the ongoing anti-government protests. 

It should be noted that this is not the first time that his house is invaded by police. during President Kenyatta's leadership, Jimi was also arrested on claims that he was harboring illegal firearms. The charges were later dropped.
